Rolling Savannah Rivers
Open savannah dominates in the Masai Mara, but it’s not flat boredom. You’ll cross rolling grass, pockets of acacia, then suddenly a shaded river strip where everything cools down. In the west, the Oloololo Escarpment gives a big, high viewpoint over the ecosystem. Near the Mara River, fig trees and muddy bends set up those famous crossing photos alone.
