Volunteer Program

Volunteer Experiences With SnowyTop Safaris

SnowyTop Safaris connects volunteers with authentic conservation experiences that offer meaningful learning and responsible participation in wildlife and community-focused initiatives across Kenya.

Through partnerships with reputable conservation organizations such as Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, OI Pejeta Conservancy, Segera Conservancy, and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, our programs expose participants to the realities of conservation work and the dedication required to protect wildlife, ecosystems, and local livelihoods. Volunteers are placed in environments that emphasize guided learning and observation, allowing them to shadow experienced professionals including wildlife rangers, conservation officers, animal care teams, researchers, educators, and community engagement staff. Program activities vary by placement but may include involvement in environmental projects, exposure to wildlife protection and rehabilitation efforts, and learning how conservation initiatives integrate with surrounding communities. Where permitted, volunteers may assist with supervised tasks such as infant animal care, cleaning and raking of facilities, feed preparation, and other basic care activities, all conducted under professional supervision and in line with partner policies.

These volunteer experiences are open to individuals from diverse backgrounds students, professionals, researchers, and travelers who share a genuine interest in conservation and responsible tourism.
